Culture Cinematic is on the cutting edge of electronica, hip-hop, jazz, R&B, soul, additive rhythm workouts, singer/songwriter ballads, and funk.
Culture Cinematic has struck a fine balance between entertainment and musical integrity. They’ve played SXSW with soul music visionary Gregory J, Norman Music Festival and Plaza Fest behind hip-hop luminary Jabee, Twisted Root with jazz legends Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, Urban Roots, and the annual Festival of the Arts in downtown OKC.
Recently, they have released an EP entitled Medusa/Madonna/Mona Lisa and are in the process of booking regional and national shows. You can see them regularly in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas.
Usually a six-piece band, for the Ralph Ellison Festival they will play as a duo consisting of T.J. Haverkamp on keys/synthesizers and Jonathan Thomas on drums. They will perform on the café stage at The Paramount OKC.
