The latest winner of the prestigious 2015 MLK Poetry Slam hosted at the University of Texas, Candace also captured the 2014 Women of the World Poetry Slam Champion title in the Dallas Poetry Slam and was the 2013 Slam Champion at the OKC Vine Open Mic showcase.
She is featured monthly at Oklahoma City’s premiere spoken word event 3XDope, which has highlighted nationally renowned artists and poets such as Sunni Patterson, HBO DEF Poet Blaq Ice, and Versus & Flow’s Obbie West.

Candace is also the CEO of Liger FelYne Fitness and the creator of AfroDGac, a lyrical dance project focused on the liberation and reclaiming of women’s sexuality through sensually interpretive movement campaigns.
